Betty J. Perry 93, a resident of Baker City, OR died April 23, 2021, at Settler's Park in Baker City, Oregon. A private family interment will be held at a later date in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Perry was born July 18, 1927, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, a daughter of Thomas & Hazel E. (Greenleaf) Smith. She attended school in Bend, Oregon.
She was a mother, wife, and artist Growing up in the Depression years she was always aware of thrift. She and her sister road ponies to a one-room school and at 15 years old ran an elevator, was a dental assistant, and married Jack W. Perry in Bend, OR on May 4, 1946, a war veteran.
Her hobbies we camping, fishing, gardening, potter, scrapbooking, card making and playing in a card group, knitting, painting, and reading. She was a blessing and will be missed by family and friends.
She is survived by sons & daughter-in-law; Dave & Twila Perry, Cheyenne, Wyoming; Steve & Linda Perry, Baker City, OR; daughter, Sharon Love, Eagle Point, OR; brother, Fred Reed, Oregon City, OR; and a sister Bev Williams, Oregon. 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister.
