April 15, 2022 1:48 PMI met Barbara in first grade at North Baker Elementary. I remember admiring (and being envious of) her long, thick braids. We went to different schools for a few years before getting back into the same class for 6th grade through high school graduation. I always admired her ability to speak her mind without worrying about what someone might think of her, and I wished I could follow her example. She had a great sense of humor which endured through some pretty severe trials and tribulations. She was the driving force behind keeping our BHS Class of 1960 fairly intact through the years, having real skills at keeping track of our whereabouts and rounding up strays. Barbara was an intelligent, talented, good, and kind woman who was really fun to be around.
